This is a bit strange for Timmins, yesterday and today it seems to be holding strong while others are down around average of 3%,,, this is unlike Timmins of late.... signed wonder why

I know for a fact we are to get news about the CEO position. Just don't know what the hold is.

Intowin, who would you like the new ceo to be?

I have no opinion. I do believe it will be someone outside the company if a CEO is announced. Thought we would have heard by now. Makes me wonder if they're working on something bigger. Takeover???? JMHO.

I've felt the same way all along.  There is no reason to hire a CEO if they are working on a deal.  If they do hire a CEO, then you have to figure a takeover isn't being actively pursued at this time.  I still believe that it is nearly certain that Goldcorp will be the buyer when the time comes.  I'd take an offer with a 50% premium right now, even though the ...more

My thoughts exactly. If Goldcorp gets TMM for only a 50% premium then we're all getting screwed.

While most jurors with good economics/high margins are eventually taken out by major's or mid-tier's, of which create short-term up-side gains of 20%, 30%, 40%, or more, those shareholders currently holding Timmins shares at this stage of the companies growth curve would IMO see much higher gains, by forgoing any buyout, and letting the management team continue to de-risk, and develop the ...more

thank you for this dissertation, however hedging by acquiring debt is what killed off many companies during the bear market. The SP depends on one thing and one thing only, the price of gold. I think they should hang in there as best as they can and not show desperation by being bound to a bank.  A higher gold price will cure what troubles this company and its' patient shareholders like ...more

You can say that you want more than a 50% premium, but it isn't likely to happen.  Now the offer could come a year from today or it could come next week, but a 50% premium is normally the most you can hope for.  Whoi knows what the price will be a year from now or a day from now.  My point was that I'll take a 50% premium any time.  Of course it would be nice if the ...more
