All really good points and DD.. the reality is the deal as it was is gone and we aint getting 18$ share anytime soon. But there's some implications with some things that had already started to happen even though the deal wasnt confirmed before the pandemic. Example TRZ stepping up or down to provide for domestic flights where a transition of the hatred canadians have for air canada domesticslly was disapearing as suddenly TRZ appeared new and an alternative.. and theres more to that picture such as refueling slots, hedge contracts and hotel agreements thay made this a great deal....but i could also dig into the ugly other side of how trz is screwed and at that point how AC is screwed.
