Why is the stock so low?

My theory is we got new managment, but now we need new shareholders.  When most of the institutional investors exited, their shares were bought by mostly Canadian retail investors.  But we are now fully invested and cannot buy any more shares, no matter how cheap it gets.  $50m invested by Canadian retail investors in a biotech stock is a heavy burden.  However, once we get wider awareness in US market and Canadian institutions focus on our story, we will get more people buying shares.  Then the stock price will go back up.

My target is US $4/share on takeover.  (That is Cdn $5/share.)  If we just do a partnership deal with some cash injected, then we will run the US launch ourselves, receive the revenue and it will be worth $20/share about 4 years from now.

So 30 cents (US $0.24) is a goofy price.

I agree with your theory, institutions and analysts that were in on this share were left high and dry. Will they get back in? They all saw the same thing we did and likely more, so I think they do but this time not until something positive and tangible happens. When it does happen, it will happen fast, so they chase maybe from $2.00 to $4.00. Advantage retail guy? This current stretch of time ...more

Maybe the stock is so low because it was recently valued at 17 cents by management. Maybe it is because it has no presence in the US or Canada. Maybe it is because it has no IR and no  effort has ever been made to promote it. maybe it is because the last asset sale was well below even the most pessimistic observer's levels. Maybe it is because nothing has been done to get off the bottom ...more

Well Yank, you seem to still be stuck on thinking people are blaming the "last guy" as you put it, waste of energy don't you think? No one is blaming anyone, the SP is what it is for many reasons. You should really read the February 2015 company presentation, you will see the plan. If you can't find the time to read it all read slide 24 and 25. It is clear that the PLAN is to ...more

I thought that I had read, maybe not. Sorry about that. Nonetheless lets proceed to reason #2 to justify the valuation - The SP is about 8% of its actual valuation because all the Canadian owners are just so overloaded they can't buy anymore. That happens all the time with submission stage cancer treatments. So to overcome this what they should do is tell shareholders that 29 cents is cool for ...more

CONSPIRACY THEORY TIME If a buy-out offer is coming 3 x .30 = .90  3 x .50 =1.50 etc. etc .etc. Somebody is keeping the price DOWN. Cheaper for the buy-out . All the warrants and OPTIONS will still be in the money.Only the choosen few get rich, staff ,( more options ) the friends with the .23 PP and warrants.  The only losers are the LONG SUFFERING SHARE HOLDERS.I'm a long term,so ...more

No Manipulation here Blartar. This is all about building shareholder value. If you think that more can be done here I am sure that they are open to suggestions! And are you suggesting that the exactly 300K shares wedged in at 31 cents by 9 different buyers with almost no buying pressure is odd? Keep on believing. This is an "under the radar opportunity" and it will stay that way until it ...more

Someone recently posted a story here about a BOD and Management of a company being prosecuted because they sold a company for a lot less that it was worth, to some connections they had and they were handsomely rewarded with new Jobs, etc.....In other words, the small shareholders got screwed.... Anyone have a link to the post or to the story? Surely they would not Privatize or sell out to ...more
