RE:Without Santander the AISC is now at 0.90 !If they close all their mines, the AISC will be zero! The stock price would go to the moon!
Seriously, I am one of the few people on this board who was calling for them to close Caribou back in mid 2019. There is such resistance to close money losing mines, but it must be done. When you are losing money on every pound of zinc mined, you cannot make it up with volume.
Possibly closing the mine will give them some leverage to renegotiate treatment costs. They should have never agreed to the ridiculous high treatment costs in the first place. Terrible management only knows how to buy high and sell low, as in buy high future treatment costs and sell zinc at a low spot price. The fools running this company have driven it to the brink of bankruptcy.
