Why are people so impatient about connections to Coho?

I was thinking about it.

 - We are in latin-amerika
 - On an Caribbean island
 - There is a pandemic
 - They have not done this for years due to lack of new findings
 - Government meetings are restricted

I read about everyone being disappointed about the company and the long time things take, but I do not understand that. Delays should be very expected!

Delays of almost 1 1/2 years since flow test announcement of Coho. This could be why!!

Yes, but that should be expected.  1. It is a long time since last time they had this situation in the government. 2. It is a pandemic. 3. We are in Latin-America. 4. We are in the jungle. This is not UK, Europe, Canada or some other place where things actually work. We are talking latin-america.  Just as an example: It took me 3-4 months to open a bank account in a latin-american ...more

Nonsense it's not Latin America it's part of the anglosphere and is a former British colony which actually functions. The failure here is TXP's alone, they have repeated on multiple occasions that the pipeline would be completed by now and it isn't. The next excuse is the fault is with the NGC, a JV partner who only picked up the project weeks ago but will no doubt be blamed. ...more

That is the biggest BS I have EVER heard! You seriously think any other company would manage this any faster during a serious pandemic? They have given good explanations as to why it has taken so long. Live in your own London bubble where you think this would be just as easy as going to the store in the evening.  We are talking banana republic here!

Do I hear a hint of racism in there? Not too Canadian if I might say. As to how long it should have taken I am not an engineer but Paul Baay did give repeated timelines, several of which were "About 60 days" post the onset of Covid. So as a shareholder isn't it reasonable to take that as guidance given it comes from the CEO? That doesn't feel completely unreasonable?

No rasicm at all. It is just a nick name for countries where you need to scratch backs to get things done.  It is just the way the culture is. Very relaxed. If I dont get it done today I will maybe do it tomorrow, etc. I can assure you that if it was up to Touchstones management they would have the excavator running the same day test results are in but there are administrative protocols ...more

Heck , every Culture has its version of extreme delays. Look at jolly ole England... a Friend in Wittersham had to endure a 9 month Closing on the sale of his home.. as a Canuck I thought that was a one-off until I saw another bloke comment on ADVFN the other day complaining of the same slow-poke Closing on his Sale. There are slippery bananas of one version or another everywhere you look these ...more

So you basically think PB is as useful as a chocolate tea pot? Personally I hope for more from the CEO's I own shares in.

I have to ackowledge all the new hires Paul has made recently, if he doesn't have the brains to do something himself at least he has the brains to hire people who do. That's commendable so maybe there's hope going forward. Maybe we'll get into a Trini groove soon and the stock will get back to $ 3 + + where it belongs.

I suspect that he sits somewhere in Canada on a daily basis...
Comment by Chreca1 on Apr 29, 2021 10:24am
Stanley where are you !? Utkant is calling  T&T a banana republic !!! :) Ok, one reason is because that Paul/TXP have given us timelines totally detatched from reality regarding when to expect Coho to be online.  I lost count of how many dates been  given by now but go back and listen to the interviews given at the time of Coho drill and testing NR's and the naive time ...more

TXP has been on this Island Paradise for quite awhile so if they don't understand the issues and know how to navigate through them by now they must be idiots. Oh wait did I just say that, sorry, I meant um .....no idiots is the right word. We have to hope that although the learning curve has been remarkably steep it will start to flatten out soon and maybe with the new drill we've aquired ...more
