Sometimes before a stock hit an inflection point (truns to releasing positive earnings per share) the "professionals" somehow has a knack to timing the "final?" shakeout of the weak hands/knees. 

One possibility to consider is the closing of the "short positions", by driving the price down to cover their shorts.

On Canada Stockwatch the summary and individual (trade by trade) might show the "pattern" of the "masters at work"! 

Looking with "eager anticipation" for the (possible) whipsaw when this "inconvenience" plays itself out.

Lurk & Leans are encouraged to study the shorting/covering history. The are very cognizant of TXP's vulnaberatiles and appear to make "well timed" attacks.

Stanley, I suspect you already have these numbers but the short grew to 916,875 during August and then evaporated with hardly a ripple in the share price. As such, it may be purely defensive and may not necessarily push up the share price noticeably on exit - they seem to be good at this game. More likely it's a London short where over 0.5% must be disclosed on Aim and a long Toronto where disclosure of longs only occurs after 10% under SEDAR. London has been regularly ahead of Toronto price wise and a London short covered by a Toronto long could have yielded 4c or 6c if done well?  That's a risk free $400,000 to $600,000 and doesn't disturb the market at all
