This explains quite a bitCameco Sells Shares of UEX Corporation This makes it quite clear that UEX p'ed Cameco off by all the share dilution through private placements over the past decade or so. They stopped participating in the placements back then. I suspect their financial whizs perhaps were waiting to buy UEX out when the price was really low. This, after UEX had advanced their projects dramatically over the past 15 years. Hidden Bay was a set of brownfields Cameco properties which they had spent marginally on over the years - as the majors view exploration as an after tax waste of money.
Now that Cameco is now below the radar (less than 10% holder) it is free to buy and sell at will. No big deal. UEX still has the best properties in the Basin of the near producers.
