RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Well isn't that interestingYes Pete, it's quite amazing. Juneau has risen over 4 feet in the past century and Churchill Manitoba has risen 3 feet. I got that from Patrick Moore, the greenpeace founder, of who I follow on twitter. I highly recommend anyone interested in climate do the same.

NOAA shows both Churchill Manitoba and Juneau Alaska as sea levels going down.  They are both sites where glacial melt occurred and still does.  Why? simple, you see if there is a glacier 3 miles thick and it melts the sea level won't rise, that's because the 3 mile thick glacier has a tremendous weight (mass) and as it melts the crushed land mass that it rests on is less impinged and starts to rise.  The rise of the land mass effect is greater than the water being added to cause the ocean or Hudson Bay to rise.
