 The drone strike had a temporary effect on the WTI, there was no US response as Biden doesn't want any flare up in the ME before the elections. Terrorists would need to have a major attack on an american base or shipping lane to have a sustained rise in oil prices.

Traders have been burned way to often to fall for the " geopolitical risk"  trap.  Tell me when these things have ever had a long term meaningful effect on the price ?  Other than the 1970's oil embargo . The only thing I see causing a panic is the USA destroys Iran's oil infrastructure . That would be extremely aggressive and the rest of the "people of peace ...more
