RE:RE:RE:RE:Something isnt adding up...Chainey, that's for non LP applicants - such as existing Dispensaries and other Bricks and Mortar stores wanting to get a license.
They singled out the LPs specifically being only able to have one sales license provided the store front is located at the production site. So Canopy would have only one at Smiths Falls, Aphria only one at Leaminton and so on.
Let's see how the Hiku / Tokyo Smoke stores owned by Canopy play out ... they might allow them or else lump them all under Canopy / Tweed LP brand - which again would be BS.
There is a lot of push back about this right now and clarity is needed.

by the AGCO. For both a retail operator's licenses, in addition to a retail store
authorization FOR EACH STORE THEY WANT TO OPERATE"
She also said there would be a single license at a single production
site in Ontario. The license would take up to 14? or 15 days? . And finally
she said there would be a cap on how many licenses you could have, but
said that would come out Thursday when the bill is put forward.
So some good news and some yet to be determined. We can have more
than one store, we just don't know how many. JMO..........

Also, I believe Bruce was talking about Germany when he was saying sell it and rebuy it...
Good luck all

Smith Falls will get a license - since it is located at the production site (Tweed CHQ.)
Bruce at the AGM today made an interesting comment where Canopy would sell product to the OCS at a profit and then buy it back, turn it into an injestible when legal and sell it back to the OCS for additional profit. (If I remember correctly.) I didn't understand what he meant until now.
I think this whole 1 store per LP is bulls#it to tell the truth.
The savings grace is that this will happen in April so everyone in Ontario will get used to the online model... but the black market is laughing right now at this nonsense if not clarified and changed.
Basically the OCS wants its monopoly... so much for opening things up to private retail.
