How did WEED lose a Billion dollars

In March 2023 WEED had total assets of $2.4 Billion and Dec 2023 it at $1.3 Billion. their balance sheet sucks!
You can be sure that the DEA is reviewing Canada laws and Mental Heath. and even if by some miracle that the DEA changes any part of the 50yr old law its far from making these companies money for years to come! Cant wait till DEA leaves the laws intact and these SP will plummet faster then you can roll a joint...

How did WEED lose a billion dollars? Maybe we should ask Bruce. I find it interesting that the top 3 executives alone earn $13/plus million (CAD) combined annually. That's only the first 3.  Average tenure is between 1-5 years. Stock performance obviously doesn't reflect their uber-hefty salaries and bonuses. Eliminate bonuses and axe their salaries the proportionate % to company ...more

Bruce Linton hasn't been the CEO of canopy for years, not too sure why you are thinking otherwise.   Current CEO was appointed by Constellation Brands. Under new management canopy has been paying off debt, right sizing and releasing new products.  The Martha Steward gummies seem like a winner to me. Yes, Im aware that Linton was ousted years ago. I noticed a Globe & Mail headline stating that he had amassed more than $200 million during his tenure.  I never owned shares during that time but I've certainly heard enough back/forth speculation regarding the ultimate demise of the company/fundamentals which is when Klein stepped in.  I think there are mixed opinions about BL ...more

The R/S positioned Canopy as one of (if not the) lowest sharecount company in the entire sector.  You should also Google how a reverse split improves the EPS numbers.   Shares remain priced under book value so the fundamentals do not appear to be met yet.   IMHO the market has been punishing Canopy Growth for the sins of Bruce Linton long after he left and completely ...more
