Abuse of minority shareholders

This is a company that holds rental apartments and lodging. Covid is done. No excuse not to reinstate a dividend on this portion of earnings. I understand that the development end of the business can be more volatile so can hold those earnings and reinvest or weather a storm.

Pay a quarterly dividend and let shareholders decide if they want to reinvest  (offer a DRIP) or take the cash.   Only benefit right now is to majority shareholder that takes a salary and dogs the stock for the occasional buyout.

Hoffbag yet to understand optimal capital allocation strategies. Dividends are discretionary, not obligatory. Better use of funds was NCIB. 1.5mm shares cancelled. Well done team.

Uh huh.....and the share price impact was.... Give your head a shake ultra max. All the buyback did was further reduce market liquidity for the shares and squeeze minority holders even more.   Using shareholder cash to finance a takeover at a cheaper and cheaper price.  None of these transactions have been open market.  Like I said, give your head a shake.

Bitter and impatient shareholder. Nothing is forcing you to retain your shares. Plenty of REITs and development co's out there. But here you sit, whining to an audience of 1. While you complain, others keep buying.

Audience of 1.    Nobody cares about your $25 ACB.     No amount of complaining on stockhouse will change your circumstances.

Hey Joke. Getting more than one read.  yep I want a dividend. If they can't do that spin off the hospitality assets to someone who can manage them and reallocate the capital.  your NCIB is fantasy. There is no liquidity and they would never do that when they are very successful at getting the company to use private purchases for the benefit of the majority shareholders.   ...more
