Complaining about marketing is wrong. It’s a cash flow issue

Implementing Xtract in SaaS model requires a lot of cash. People who do software sales will understand. You need upfront capital to install. Then you get the money back every month little by little. It's a cash issue which is causing pat to go slow. And that is exactly why evolve has a large red balance sheet. That is why you need funding from deep pockets. 

Peter is walking the tight rope of managing installations vs. Cash flow vs. Dilution. 

he may have a huge pipeline, but to cater to them all he will have to dilute heavily. So instead he is going at a pace which supports the goal of become cash posotove to fund new installs. 


if you understand the economics of this, you will appreciate the management decisions better. 


pumping up stock price through marketing will cause 2 problems 
1. increase demand causing either pressure on cash requirements if they decide to cater to the demand, or if they decide not to cater to the demand, bunch of unhappy unserved customers who will turn to Evolve. 

2. Turn off potential investors from investing over higher valuation which will cause cash flow issues if more cash is required and you have no investors. 


hence the measures approach.

Right ! So we don't want share price to go up, or want sales because that would make us short on cash ! We are already diluted, we increased shares substantially in the last six months, We may have invented the kitchen sink, but that doesn't mean we have to install them all ourselves,time to bring in our signed partners, remember them ? Oh and we've already scared off new investors ...more

You are right about leveraging partners. That is one channel that hasn't been properly utilized. I thinks it's because PAT doesn't have reseller/installers with deep pockets and connections. At least Not yet.

Yeah I have a business , I have a line of credit (floor plan) and finance my inventory, just pay the interest monthly , only pay interest on what I use , a lot of dealerships do this ,I load up certain times of the year,when I get a really good deal (high margin) , then sell it down,, there are ways to get this done

@redneck .. thier logic just doesn't add up.. if you wade through all of the misplaced technical jargon.. which is just an attempt to sound intelligent.. if they aren't name calling they are just spewing the most convoluted.. mumbo jumbo that never results in anything that actually results in your monetary favor until who knows when.. Wow! That's some positive outlook. Are you sure you are not a paid basher? With all of the New contacts, TSA approval, the Sphere and now VA hospitals with the US government you are so sure nothing is going to work? That is paid basher talk. I know you are not beasty as he at least sounded half intelligent. If in fact you are invested which I am stating to doubt more and more each day then ...more

I think you hit the nail on the head VG. It's all about the cash. We are on a tight budget and it is important to be frugal in order to support the business. We need a sugar daddy to avoid dilution. Evans has made reference to many potential clients kicking the tires so I am sure there is not a shortage of new clients. I am sure a number of units are being held on to accomadate the Sphere in ...more

Peter once mentioned that they had increased production of units significantly (doubled even the highest estimate if I recall) and I would assume they have reserves for clearing big portion of backlog and also to mentioned msg and sphere installations in sep. Interesting to see how much closer to breakeven we climb even before the financing. I see they want to keep the upkeep and installations ...more
