Three parallel priorities in action

(Disclaimer: I am long on Zenabis as I believe that CBD is going to be a compelling part of so many future wellness and medical offerings as it moves beyond its origins.)

While who really knows what is happening at Zenabis I gotta say that I like the fact that there are not weekly updates or PR from Shai on "progress". My sense is that he is executing on 3 fronts: 1) continue to operate and grow as this is the only way to survive current debt crises, 2) uncovering the skeletons and cleaning up the messes, (key here is looking forward and not spending a moment on any of this wasted talk on what happened and whether there was manipulation or not.....who cares as the only way to win is to stay focused on the game in front of you) and 3) focusing on how to be one of the companies structured, resourced and positioned to win big in 2021.

Like any business competing to be a major player, while the execution challenges are non trivial the objectives are crystal clear -- a) get debt under control , b) put the senior team in place to execute even if COVID grows in ugliness and c) bring to Zenabis a culture and attitude of "winning on the biggest stages". My prediction is that by end of fiscal 2021, Zenabis will be in the following position: Cannabis Net Annual Revenues of $175 M; Debt of less than $50M at servicing around 6% (4
250K per month), 2022 Revenue Growth estimated at 50+%, and internal people, systems and processes in place to get to $500M in Net Annual Revenue within next 3 years.  Finally, it will have completed a joint venture with a major CPG on the launch of a variety of CBD infused snacks targeted for release in mid 2022. At the right time, Zenabis will make the decision to do a 10:1 r/s to then move to Nasdaq/US exchange and do a major fundraising campaign to fund international growth over the next decade. My estimate is a post r/s share price of $15 by March 2022 (market cap of $2.25B). Yet most importantly a Canadian leader that employs hundreds of people in meaningful roles.

Murham the big problem is  CBD has been around for years not just since legalization so its not a game changer  2)  BM is stealing 55-60% of sales 3) large over supply  so  70%  of what zena grows is being stock piled   we need  sales and lot of them and thats the hard nut to crack here

looks like  SpeakEasy Cannabis Club Ltd C.EASY  is going to be the largest Grower in Canada   at 60 acres
Comment by truthseeker1 on Oct 03, 2020 2:46pm
we all are worried about over supply well it just got worse ;;  SpeakEasy is Five Weeks Away From Harvesting One of the Largest Single Outdoor Cannabis Crops in Canadian History

All good news as consistent reliable supply across the industry will continue to bring more and more big players who will partner with the existing LPs in upcoming year.....all positive.,...#1 priority is simply debt....then demand will take care of supply in the next 24 months
Comment by truthseeker1 on Oct 03, 2020 8:55pm
good news that we now have a new player thats going to kill us on production and sale sLOL

LOL  yah for sure  are people as stupid as you actually allowed to post here??  seems odd ? EASY has the largest Grow op (60 acres ) 2.67 million sq feet  largest grow op in Canada The last thing we need at ZENA is this kind of competion and  just adds greatly to a already huge candian over supply :::::::::::::::::::;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

Truthseeker - quit parroting generic business 101 dynamics - extra capacity is not the issue as weed is and always will be a commodity -- supply will respond to market demand over time - what matters it is how co like Zena get the weed into new products that will drive margin - first priority is to get debt in check
Comment by truthseeker1 on Oct 04, 2020 8:12pm
opinions opinions opinions   over supply is a  huge issue for  zena;;we had a 60 million and counting unsold inventory 3 months ago and growing  in canada ;; now easy comes out with even more weed  who we going to sell it all to??
Comment by MurHam on Oct 04, 2020 8:29pm
Just my point - get debt in check plus keep adding new products to grow demand - this is the reality -- let's be clear though so no confusion - Zena has a lot of work to do in order to be among the winners -- its production capacity and low cost are assets - if they can wrangle debt, add products and secure distribution then supply will not be the issue at all rather it will be an enabler-- if ...more

Hey murham you mouth piece this is for you READ::::: things have taken a different turn for the Great White North, with companies reporting a massive oversupply of cannabis. Government statistics show that cannabis inventories hit nearly 400 tonnes by the end of August, which some estimates believe could cover over two years of demand.

Truth seeker - let's keep it professional - No name calling - I will continue to share my views as an investor long on Zena and you keep regurgitating secondary research from questionable sources

One of the realities of markets that are transitioning into growth phase is the abundance of supply that emerges - additional capacity from existing players comes available, new entrants add, new processes improve productivity....and the beauty is that all of these production best practices work there way through the system ----ultimately the benefit is they will bring cost of production down to a ...more

The growth in qtr/qtr revenues at ZENA are indicative of the overall industry demand that is sustained and starting to accelerate -- over supply is a transitional stage as sales channels become more reliable and brands more recognizable.......my concern with the industry and ZENA is not sales it is this interim period where debt levels draw too much attention and mgmt time -- CBD has been around ...more
