Well  newcoin, let's see if there is any interest here to launch a discussion on this topic.

Questions that come instatntly to mind:

1) What is the projected growth trajectory for the next 5 years for either company?
2) What are the external factors that could impact growth which should engage us?
     e.g. commodity price, interest rates, govt regulations, special interest groups' resistance?
3)  How is the enormous debt of TRP being sluffed off between the two?


The last time I faced such a decision was the split of ECN  between fleet management and finance.
I took a lazy eenie meenie mina moe approach and chose the wrong one.
