Sales this last 10 days are interesting, to say the least...But don't read too much into it, yet. Note that while TD sold 6 M shares, they also bought 6 M. The real seller was Anonymous, having unloaded 2 M, so that tells us a lot. :)) (Remember no one is anonymous to IIROC, but professional buyers and sellers can use any number of brokers to execute trades.) The rest of the sales were likely retail lemmings jumping when they saw the volume over the cliff, or those hit with margin calls and stop losses. Note Merrill Lynch bought and sold in very similar amounts, but they are a relatively new player interested in TOS. Morgan Stanley executed far more trades than the small number of shares actually traded, doing 100- 300 share trades as per usual, (the numbers of trades don't show in this chart, sorry).
The main buyers have been BMO, RBC, Canaccord, Desjardins, National Bank, and me, until today, when Scotia knocked me off my perch to take the lead. (lol... kidding.)
The manipulation last week may be different in motivation from the huge volume moves this week. Last week I think it was just pro shorts doing a bear raid on no news expected post cc, as they have done in the past. But, this week? So many substantial TD crosses. Why not just a few larger in house trades?
I have, as I have reported here before, registered complaints with IIROC and FINRA who are checking the action and especially the OTC shenanigans, (huge short interest volume and changes over past year in opposite directions to Canadian short interest changes, but no significant share transactions of TSTIF registered in the OTC market), that may or may not have played a role in the huge action this week.
We will see what and who shakes out, or maybe not. But, as I am sure you are aware, I won't be feeling sorry for the shorts as they get crushed when the share price unexpectedly breaks out over 3.60 again one of these days. :))
No worries, here.
And, just in case some are trying to make sense of TSO3's hiring of a few sales associates, I think it is a great idea to have a 3 or 4 sales people educated and trained well to represent TSO3's interests on the ground along side Getinge's people, especially for new accounts and to promote the company's revolutionary products generally. This company is growing.
All is good. And, getting better.
Buy while you can tomorrow, IMHO.
