I've confirmed and there is no holding period on his shares. He is free to sell his shares any time he wants. However, the fact that he has not, even after the board members did not renew his contract, is a testament that the man was not bulshitting when he said the property is one of the best to host gold that he has ever seen in his career. While he may not be a fan of upper management of the company, he wants the property to succeed, not just because he invested $1 million of his own money + salary in shares, but because he believes in it and it was all his idea to put it all together.
I am dissapointed with his departure, not because he lost interest in the property, but mainly because of his health and some other reasons. It was nice to know that the current drilling program was put together with his help, and I will continue to be invested in the company.
They still have the two great Geologists on the team with whom Dave had a great working relationship. Both of the geologists helped map Barrick's properties with almost exactly the same characteristics as Keystone (US Gold's property). And I would imagine behind the scenes, Dave is a defacto consultant by interacting and sharing data with them.
Dave does have a choice to officially sign-up back as a consultant with US Gold. After the dust settles, he may decide to pursue that option - either way, it does not change the potenial of the property to me.
