Alaska Energy Metals Corp V.AEMC

Alternate Symbol(s):  AKEMF

Alaska Energy Metals Corporation is focused on delineating and developing the large-scale, bulk tonnage, polymetallic Eureka deposit containing nickel, copper, cobalt, chromium, iron, platinum, palladium, and gold. The Company’s flagship project, Nikolai, is located about 80 kilometers (km) south of the town of Delta Junction, on the southern flank of the Alaska Range. The Nikolai project hosts Ni-Cu-Co-Cr-PGE mineralization. Two separate, adjacent claims blocks encompass the Nikolai project. The Eureka claim block consists of about 106 State of Alaska mining claims (6,863 hectares (ha)). The Canwell claim block consists of about 59 State of Alaska mining claims (3,820 ha). In total, the Nikolai project covers about 10,683 ha. It also holds a secondary project, Angliers-Belleterre, in western Quebec. The Angliers Project is located within the Angliers and Belleterre townships in the Temiscamingue region of western Quebec. The Angliers Project covers an area of about 26,417.4 ha.

Surface Rock Sampling & Geophysical Survey Results Released

Surface Rock Sampling & Geophysical Survey Results Released
Today, Alaska Energy Metals (AEMC.v AKEMF) announced the assays from surface rock sampling and geophysical survey results collected on the Canwell block of claims on its Nikolai Nickel Project, Alaska.

The results revealed three excellent prospects for high-grade mineralization, the Canwell, Odie and Emerick Prospects.

Notably, the surface rock sample assay results exceeded 5% nickel and 5% copper at the Canwell Prospects.

Geophysical surveys reveal strong conductive zones with magnetic highs beneath surface nickel-copper anomalies.

High-potential drill targets have been developed to test for high-grade mineralization in summer 2024.
AEMC President & CEO Gregory Beischer commented:
“The surface sampling results confirm high-grade historical results, but it is the geophysical program results that are really exciting. The geophysical surveys strongly suggest that the high-grade mineralization extends below surface, beneath prior, historical drilling. To test for higher grade nickel and copper mineralization, we intend to drill these geophysical anomalies at the Canwell, Odie and Emerick prospects in 2024. It is notable that the sulfide mineralization is also strongly enriched in platinum group elements.”
AEMC's 2023 geophysical program was designed to test CSAMT responses over known. Mineralization as well as to identify untested targets and the results indicate a high-angle, low resistivity zone beneath the Canwell prospect.

This news follows AEMC's previous announcement which marked the receipt of all assay results from its 2023 exploration program with the final two drill results from its Nikolai Nickel Project.

Notably, these results confirm the consistency of mineralization spanning 1.2 km of strike length along the Eureka Zone with mineralization open in all directions; demonstrating that the Zone remains consistent and homogenous as indicated by historical drilling.

With a plan to drill the geophysical anomalies at the Canwell, Odie and Emerick prospects alongside calculating an update to the Mineral Resource Inventory in Q1, AEMC anticipates an ambitious, expanded program for the summer of 2024 with a strong foundation and increased confidence in the pipeline going forward.
