I own 700,000 shares of the company and I have some commentsI have told Larry to change the name of the company but he doesn't agree with me. It should not be called American Manganese still when the purpose of the company now aligns with recycling batteries regardless of the original roots of the company. I believe it should be called "New Age Battery Recycling" or something along those lines. It makes no sense. Does management listen? NO
And I had made the exact recommendation a few months ago.
With respect to forging partnerships, it appears management expects someone to come to them. They should be hiring a marketing team to go out and try to forge partnerships with others. I still believe automotive firms are the best partnerships to forge because they will provide a steady supply of the batteries.
They should also increase their social media presence. But when everyone in the company appears to be over 60 years old they're very stubborn and still think in very traditional ways.
The market is still very nascent but I don't believe the upper management is being proactive enough to really get the word out there. For G-d sakes Umicore is worth 300 times more than American Manganese but AMY technology is superior.
The technology is very valuable but without proper execution theres nothing. Larry has to stop thinking that the future of the company is guaranteed. There is no such thing as a guarantee in life and a little fire under his *** and taking investor recommendations seriously would help! I will keep accumulating shares from my privately held vehicle until I have enough power to seriously sway this company direction. Getting fed up already with management and these podcasts that are futile at best. Need serious business initiatives -> change the name, active marketing, don't wait for someone to come to you -> go to them
