RE: derivate risk??

RE: derivate risk?? Not sure what type of derivatives you have in mind, but if you are thinking of Financial Instruments such as commodity price hedges I dont believe AUN has any of these. Most mining companies have closed their hedges as they want to benefit from the commodity bull cycle we are currently experiencing. If you are talking about interest rate swaps (fixed to floating or visa versa) on the cash deposits/funds they have invested at banks with exposure to sub prime market you will need to contact the company to find out, I suspect not as I dont believe the Canadian institutions are as wrapped up in this exposure as European and US banks. I hope this helps. Cheers
