Oil in SaskatchewanI've been working in the oil industry in Saskatchewan for 25yrs. You could almost drill a well any where from Cold Lake down to North Battleford then angle across to north of Virden all the way to the USA boarder & hit some kind of an oil pool. The Mannville is a group of at least 7 different formations. Then you have the Viking, Detridel, Baukin & the Midale. The Viking & Midale are lighter oil zones. The Detridel & Baukins are mid to heavies. The Mannville are the heavies. They range from 10 to 15 API gravities. The development of the PCP has revolutionized the heavy oil industry. Have any of you readers out there checked out the Corporate presentation on the website. I found the logs on page 22 very interesting. All those squiggily lines must mean something??
