RE:The Montney Shale Is Going To Make Someone MoneyIMO, Chinook is a nothing company with very high operating costs, and yet it gets mentioned more than any other. Pretty obvious what that piece was really about, as other stocks get downplayed with questionable claims. Be careful what you believe.
But, the Montney is a monster, and there will be many success stories. All BBI has to do is prove the new Stage system is reliable, and the resulting cost savings will make their wells profitable, even if they don't have the highest production numbers.
Someone mentioned they were disappointed in BBI's well to the east, as it came back as an "oil" well. But it is most likely light oil, which is just as valuable as condensate, so I am not disappointed at all. Considering it produced almost 400 bod with a botched completion job, I'd say that is pretty darn good. Yes, there is a lot of associated water, but that is not unusual at all, so it is worth waiting to see how that well performs over time.
I am actually a little surprised the share price sold off yesterday, but the vast majority of investors have no idea how to understand the numbers, and simply react out of ignorance.
Give BBI some time, I think shareholders will do fine. The share price was obviously over-priced in the period where the lying pumpers were out in full force, but now looks about right for where we are. Any future success at all will result in a higher share price.
