Someone or something is buying up tens of millions of shares of BMK which other investors don't want.  If the latest private placement is financed someone or something will have accumulated 20 million shares, or 10% of the float, in that transaction alone.  I think it highly unlikely that they are investing in Scadding!  Even if another gold mine is established at Scadding it is going to be a small one, like before - hardly worth their trouble.  This accumulation predates the last press release and probably has nothing to do with it.

The bigger story is the IOCG potential of the entire SPJ property, of which Scadding is the case study.  Summer press releases will focus on property grassroots exploration.  I wouldn't be surprised if a joint venture partner shows up out of the blue.  Does management know more than you? - probably!  The best we can do is read between the lines.  Management is covering BMK's butt in case of a rapid escalation in share price.

You make some interesting points Retiredgeo but I would expect manegment would not be interested in a buyout until  an open pit mine is close to reality or becomes reality as why do all that work for years to give it away for peanuts on the doller  . If they accumulate 51% of the float they become management.  What the current management team wants becomes irrelevant.  History and hard work become irrelevant. For the right price they can have my shares as well but I'm not selling for the pennies of today's sellers! Big companies like Barrick buy mines, they don't explore for mines.  That is very old thinking!

I find it highly speculative that there is any type of takeover in the works. This is far too early for any major to even consider. Speculation on property grassroots exploration? Absolutely. As a retired geologist i suggest you follow the Scadding properties north towards Rathbun Lake and continue straight through the Inventus Mining claims. Inventus and MacDonald are tracing the same

Take a look at the banded iron formations on the northeast side of the Anomaly, as being the potential source of the Au. If the entire Anomaly is underlain with this presence the gravitational low could be the inflow line of the massive sulphides and hydrothermal presence. Sorry, I didn't respond to your comment in relation to the the Inventus share values. Inventus is a very lightly traded stock due to the major shareholders (over 50%) that have been in the stock for some time. Robert McEwen - 20.7 % Eric Sprott - 11% Endurance Gold - 11.77% Ruffers LLP- 4.23% If I need to remind anybody who any of these entities are then you are in the wrong line of investing.

Sorry, my stock chart does not concur.  Over the last 12 months IVS has gone from 11 cents to 16 cents.  It is a meandering flat line like BMK, which also has gone nowhere fast.  If you want to cherry pick highs over the last 12 months BMK also hit 20 cents. I just can't see INVENTUS being the root cause of excitement in BMK.  If you are an Inventus shareholder I wish you

I would suggest that the surging price of gold has given the Gold metals sector a good shot in the arm and many are saying its trending towards the 2000 $ an ounce level . Sorry, I took the highs and lows for both charts. Believe me I do not take IVS as being the root of BMK's successes. I take the entire district as an early exploration potential. I currently own IVS and did own BMK but sold out on the high. Looking to get back in around 8.5c again. If I haven't missed it already.
