Two Pennies

My thought - if the news was on par with other good wells in the area surely we would have heard it by now. Too much risk in the trade.

I agree , still not concerned about the stock . I would love to load up a few cents lower if anyone wants to sell more at these levels :) .  Look at the recent Dee Three report . Holds up well for this stock . They have proved there is oil on their land . 2 wells are not going to make or break this stock . A good well report would help but its small portion of the big picture . I am ...more

I react to what transpires - good results are never slow to market and after added research I think LEG has too many better "alternate" options to direct capital towards. I am sure it is an awkward situation for LEG - they may have an asset here but its going to cost a lot of time and money to develop. How do you justify the spend? ?

Legacy presents tomorrow at the First Energy East Coast Conference. With a little luck we might get an update as to there thinking or a question from analysts. At this point any news, tidbit would be very helpful. There must be some sort of issue between BWD and LEG. Either they have totally different plans or the wells are total disasters and LEG plans to leave or the Kipp well is exceptionally ...more

Good results are never slow to market ?  Dee Three's 550bbl/day well  , in the AB bakken. They recently released the news on was from a year ago. I heard rumors about that well long before the press release . As well as I have heard rumors of even bigger wells being hit in the area since then . That havn't come out to press yet . Will be interesting to see the progressive ...more

Why wait sell now . I also think that if it was  positive news on the one well , they would have the info out . This isn't a one month or two month cinderella story . BWD and Legacy recently aquired more land in September . On Jan. 26 2012 Legacy's guidance news release states :              Legacy begins 2012 with ...more

I agree with your argument. Having said that, there is too much risk in the trade at the moment for me. Best of luck. Sometimes the best trade is the one not made

I'm not going to sell now with so many uncertianties. I've been in this for quite sometime (bad timing by me) and I might as well see it through to the end. I would argue that as a LEG shareholder that the examples you state as being inferior to the potential of the Alberta Bakken are probably more economic as things stand now. Lower well costs, repeatablilty and predictable reserve ...more
