It seems that selling carbon credits to major polluters is just a way for them to keep polluting yet advertising net zero.

A major meat producer is already buying carbon credits from producers through a third party who then applies a credit to the producer’s account. Nobody can answer the following questions: how are they determining the amount of credits producers have; how much is a credit worth; how much of a mark up is the third party making; why is there no cash changing hands, only an account credit; how can a producers sell their credits on there own; how does a producer know how many credits are stored in their land to prevent overselling?

Australia is ahead of the game... this carbon credit system isn't working.

You'd also have to be an idiot to not see the hundreds of millions saved every year making the mine almost free to build/ operate and increase the odds of a buyout by a major.

Your old troll line wore out months ago PCguy like your sister Paddy. This has been discussed to death.
