- What phase of the clinical trial are we in? phase 2 and noted here https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT03857256, no other studies planned as if successuful can go to market as a supplemental pill, standalone if results can lower LDL on patients that are borderline
- Who are they trying to sell the Beta Glucan Pill to?
- Over the Counter or Physicians? Over the counter, not planning for the pill to be classified as a drug
- What is this drug trying to displace? None, add on therapy for those patients who cannot handle constant side effects of statins is most likely outcome, some patients in study requested just BG, thus expanded study
- Seems like the trial indicates it originally tested to supplement with Statins, later expanded it,
- But the fact they do not indicate a phase to the clinical trial and that its a supplement to Statins leads me to indicate that this is a Jamieson type pill (over the counter)
- More Details on the study related to Beta Glucan as a Pill
- In the PR, the company references, "comparison study" and "compare the efficacy and safety of high-medium molecular..." what does this mean? which NR, context?
- What is the target market and market potential of Beta Glucan as a pill? What they cite as functional food is very vague. Nutraceutical as food additive or supplemental pill.
