Questions - Who can answer?

  1. What is the approval process like for Beta Glucan as a pill?
    1. What phase of the clinical trial are we in?
  2. Who are they trying to sell the Beta Glucan Pill to?
    1. Over the Counter or Physicians?
    2. What is this drug trying to displace?
      1. Seems like the trial indicates it originally tested to supplement with Statins, later expanded it,
      2. But the fact they do not indicate a phase to the clinical trial and that its a supplement to Statins leads me to indicate that this is a Jamieson type pill (over the counter)
  3. More Details on the study related to Beta Glucan as a Pill
    1. In the PR, the company references, "comparison study" and "compare the efficacy and safety of high-medium molecular..." what does this mean?
  4. What is the target market and market potential of Beta Glucan as a pill? What they cite as functional food is very vague.

Thank you for the responses! What is the difference between the Ceapro beta glucan pill and assorted beta glucan pills you find on the internet? Do they expect that people reading this study will buy the Ceapro beta glucan pill instead of generic beta glucan pill X?

There are many sources of beta glucan. This study uses oat BG.  CZO's PGX process is able to produce a pure BG pill which is also water soluable.   The MHI study will show us how effective it is for reducing LDL and perhaps other positive effects.  Early on Gilles wanted to be able to differentiate it's oat BG PGX product from the other BG products out there. A ...more

Does anyone know anything about HLS Theraputics's Vascepa and how that differes from what Ceapro is trying to achieve with Beta Glucan as a pill? Seems like both are supposed to be taken with a statin drug. Also, how can Ceapro be going to market post a phase 2 trial? Don't you need to go through at least a phase 3 trial as well?
