BORON + LITHIUM ( one last importance ) So sorry....
I forgot to mention this in last post....
When reading up on - boron mining in, Alkali Valley,
They had difficulties ( imparting the boron ) away from another mineral .
What was the mineral that gave them difficulty ?
LITHIUM.
This is kind of interesting...
In that.... lithiu mwas the last to be parted away from thier preciois target mineral - boron.
They're solution ?
They used phosphate.
Why mention this ?
All because it was lithium being the last mineral sticking around beofre purifying the boron.
Lithium is a loose goose... easy breezy....
Gives up its positive ion and creates - salt.
Boron - is not so easy breezy and must pair with another salt.
Could it be - boron and lithium have a connective tie in Alkali Valley ?
Could they share a bond making it diffucult for a lab to detect the lithium ?
My own answer to this would be....
All depends on the time of year the geo goes to test soils or brines...
if a salt minera latop the basin = it might only show a lithium or just boron.
If subsurface - the salt has not rose to the surface - its not in a crystal - but rather still in a
dissolved sate - therefore - in an entirely differernt state - and as so - one has t oknow what they're looking for - its not just about taking samples and sending it off to the lab...lol
There...done...researching.
Eyes are bugged...lol
Cheers...
