RE:RE:RE:Closing playgroundsI moved from a country where the police can stop you anytime for whatever reasons. Got beaten up a few times by them and chased by soldiers with sub-machine guns....so if you ask me if I distrust authorities that try to impose their will on the population....then you are correct. Don't like this creeping police state that's being gradually being imposed on the population....yes, take reasonable Covid measures to keep vulnerable people safe but trust the population to do their part. Was reading that Texas and Florida Covid-19 rate is dropping while they are opening up but in the closed up states its increasing...maybe Ontario can learn something here. Viruses spread quickly indoors...so why lock folks in their homes?

I do my part to keep my family and everyone around me safe and I have too many friends working in hospitals to question the severity of the situation, but closing playgrounds and arbitrarily stopping cars and people walking to ask what you're doing outside with the threat of being fined $750 if your activity is not deemed "essential" is just too much. Vaccinate and test like crazy, but don't turn it into police state is all I'm saying.

So we will continue to suffer from this or a variant of for years to come unfortunately. How serious it will be who knows ,common flu or worse is the question that currently does not have an answer. We may get a better Handle on thinks after vaccine distribution improves, however testing will continue at least for the immediate future.
