So Resilience19 when you make statements like that are you in effect stating that you are in full support with everything the Biden administration has done in the past 6 months? Do you actually feel the U.S. is moving in the right direction with things like the southern border, critical race theory in schools, wide open voting, the move to more socialism, a move to the green new deal whether it has logic and common sense or not, woke training for the armed services, and a number of others, probably too numerous to list.
Do you actually believe Joe Biden is of sound mind and body? (As an 81 year old judging a 79 year old I am definitely having a problem with that one). Do you actually feel Kamala Harris is the right person to fill in, in the event Joe should have problems?
As you are quite a sensible logical investor offering reasonable advice on this board I must say I would be surprised to hear you say you have full confidence with what is going on down there. Maybe I am too old to understand what I am seeing? Maybe you watch just CNN so only see half the news that is really happening - or should I say an opinion of the news that is actually happening. Personally I truly believe the mainstream media is the biggest cause of dissention in the U.S. If they ever get back to "reporting" what is happening as it happens the country will be so much better off -- other than the influence of the social media tyrants, which also has to change.
I have learned over the years that peoples 'political sense' quite often has no relationship to them as a normal, logical, sensible, person. (One, quite often, just has to avoid the subject whenever in their company). I have very good friends in that category and I enjoy them for who they are and never ever broach their political mindset, if at all possible. Their's is a logic that I have never been able to comprehend. Luckily in Canada we have more than 2 parties. Maybe, with me, it is the effect of being born as the Second World War was starting and having a father that fought in the First World War -- something that current generations have no concept of at all i.e. what did they fight and die for? And also of being very proud of all of the development that occured since the 1950's of which I did make a contribution in small ways and then listening to how people today complain and denigrate those accomplishments as though they want to go back and live as people did at the turn of the 20th century. There seems to be a 'politic box' in the brain that gets triggered and changes the character of a person.
