Regarding laws (at least in Canada), one party consent in theory may apply.
In theory person who wants to attend cannot and is watching replay.
Mr.Gunter is taking the time out to do these Discord Chats, and as he has mentioned many tinmes for the shareholders to answers as many questions that I can answer.
SInce from what I understand Mr.Gunter is not allowed to disclose certain information not in NR that is major news my opinion is its not a secret conversation trying to trick him into revealing information. Though I do enjoy people's opinions and conjecture daily saying it might mean this and this. That's the entainment value of Stockhouse to me.
He often says "I can't say or I can't announce without new release". I think he is very aware people want to ask questions and want more information. Some things he can say, some things he cannot. I don't want to come off I'm trying to get him caught in some trouble.
I was to listen myself (and I believe a lot of others based on the Youtube video), but I cannot due to timing (in my case kids school dropoff). I am fairly confident based on the questions on various boards most people want to hear it..
I guess in closing, I'd say if someone is willing to help out the others as I have suggested, it might be a courtesay to ask him for permission. Ideally "Hi Mr.Gunter, as some people cannot attend but really want to hear is it ok to record the Discord? So so has kids and can never attend, is it OK or acceptable to record it?"
Perhaps no moral issues if he says YES.
