In my opinion, this board is not to place to discuss political opinion on the usage of technologies or any other issues, This board is just about investing in technology that are in need and bring us money. And fact is, the more Russia, China, Iran, India, Saudi Arabia uses disinformation the better it is for DM shareprice. JMHO Torlif

I have read on this board many times about using this technology to monitor domestic extremists or monitor disinformation from various domestic groups....this is a red flag...we have to be careful here. So @Max, if Marshall highlighted the fact that there are 'boundries he wouldn't cross', this should answer your concerns about DM not aspiring to negatively use their AI (leaving others to do so). As such, there is no need to highlight a 'possibility' of DM's tech not being used against someone's values as a concern if, in fact, this hasn't yet been the case

Great write up...I couldn't do a better job. Thanks for your detailed analysis. Yes, I have been following Bill C-20 and I am very concerned about what the government is asking. This incrementalism approach of diluting the Canadian Bill of Rights is dangerous and the use of AI by the government to achieve these goals is bothersome to me...personally.
