just announced travellers to Canada 

All travellers will still be required to submit a negative COVID-19 test result and proof of vaccination prior to arrival by way of the ArriveCAN smartphone app or web portal, but post-travel test results will no longer be necessary.Canada Border

The CTV article only mentions vaccine proof to the Arrive Can app.....makes no difference we don't sell PCR kits in the States anyways, haven't since day 1.....still not sure why that is, our 90 % bread and butter Canada TV and Film

Regarding TV and film.....I'm confident testing remains just not sure if it's rapid or PCR....rapid is about a 1/4 of the price so you see where I'm coming from......we can't deny rapids are gaining popularity so let hope the tv gang demands PCR when they finsish their testing schedule review towards the end of July early August

If DM is to be involved in border testing in any way (i.e. on-arrival CBSA or pre-departure) through a government contract, an announcement would not have taken place before today's announcement. My take is that the odds are slim that DM will issue a NR but possibilities are there.

So all of these words in whatever way they are framed are still suggesting it will not be practical for the big influx of "daytrips" back and forth over the border whether it be to visit a relative, buy gas, buy groceries, spend a couple of days in a hotel, etc. Who is going to go and spend good money to get a negative test result to present at the border for a day trip?
