All travellers will still be required to submit a negative COVID-19 test result and proof of vaccination prior to arrival by way of the ArriveCAN smartphone app or web portal, but post-travel test results will no longer be necessary.Canada Border
So all of these words in whatever way they are framed are still suggesting it will not be practical for the big influx of "daytrips" back and forth over the border whether it be to visit a relative, buy gas, buy groceries, spend a couple of days in a hotel, etc. Who is going to go and spend good money to get a negative test result to present at the border for a day trip? How many days is the test good for? Three?
Presumably if you are travelling from Canada to the U.S. you must present the negative test and then on your way back home from the U.S. to Canada you must again present a negative test.
Think I will be staying on this side of the border for a long while yet.
