RE:RE:Call it what it is "Again you assume that Cloudmd delayed the financials yet we have evidence that KPMG called for the delay. FACT."
You seem to be inferring that because KPMG called for the delay, it's just as likely (if not more likely) that it was KPMG's fault and not DOC's.....?
First, let's present the FACT that DOC stated all of the following text in the body of its PR dated November 20, 2023:
CloudMD Software & Services Inc. (DOC)...today announced that the Company now expects to release its financial results for the period ended September 30, 2023 on or before November 29, 2023.
The Company’s auditor, KPMG LLP, has requested additional time to complete its review procedures. The Company is working diligently with its auditor to complete these procedures and finalize the date for the earnings call. The Company will communicate further details with respect to the earnings call and webinar as details are finalized.
Question:
If DOC had provided all information requested by KPMG on time and thus have the Quarterly Financial Statements released as originally scheduled on November 23, why would DOC be "working diligently" with KPMG to "complete these procedures"...? If DOC had provided all info on time, they would no longer be involved as it would then solely be in the hands of the auditor to determine whether or not they can sign off on the Financial Statements or if DOC has failed to produce some of the info needed.
In its PR dated November 10, 2023, DOC stated it"...will release its financial results for the third quarter of 2023 on November 23, 2023..."
It now states it "expects" to release these documents on November 29, implying a further delay may be needed. Again, what's more likely the case: KPMG doesn't have the competence or manpower to complete an audit of a tiny corporation on time, or the corporation itself did not provide KPMG with all information requested on time and still needs to communicate with KPMG until all required information is provided...?
Example of one party requesting a delay because another party failed to what they supposed to do on time:
Defense Attorney:
Your Honour, we request a delay in the proceedings given the prosecution, to date, has not provided us with all the information required during discovery. May I approach the bench and hand your Honour a summary of the outstanding information...?
Judge:
Prosecutor, what is the reason for this?
Prosecutor:
We are in the processs of providing this information to the Defense Counsel - our funding has unfortunately been cut and we had no choice but to downsize our staff, limiting our ability to complete this work.
Judge:
When can Defense Counsel expect the outstanding information?
Prosecutor:
We are putting forth our best efforts to provide all outstanding information one week from today.
Judge:
Is that a date that is probable at this point?
Prosecutor:
Yes your Honour, but unfortunately, we cannot guarantee said date.
Judge:
Defense Counsel request for a delay in proceedings is granted. Prosecution is ordered to put forth all efforts to provide all information requested one week from today. Further delay in this matter will not be looked upon favourably by this court. Adjourned.
