Electra Battery Materials Corp. V.ELBM

Alternate Symbol(s):  ELBM

Electra is building North America’s only fully integrated, localized and environmentally sustainable battery materials park, which will host cobalt and nickel sulfate production plants, a large-scale lithium-ion battery recycling facility, and battery precursor materials production, to become a reliable supplier to both North American and global EV and battery supply chains.

Won't you be my neighbour

Won't you be my neighbourMr. Rogers aside, the recent news from Timmins and Canadian Nickle (CNC) demonstrates that there may be more potential synergies in the nickle-cobalt-copper maiden resource field that are close by the refinery, representing sources of local feedstock with ethical characteristics, Idaho notwithstanding (and a FCC resource missed entirely in the black cloud National Post article).

Of course some of this is early on in the Lassonde curve, and requires down-the-road "outlook", but the NY Times articles that have been earlier linked here about the post-Freeport Mc MoRan change in ownership of the DRC cobalt mines, shows the true scope and scale of everything done by the Chinese that is contrary to the principles of ESG investors, and to the principles being established by FCC (and, it would appear, with like-minded CNC).

And of course, it still remains that black mass matters.
