I guess most of the posters here are too young to remember that years ago when POT share price was about $180 per share they did a 3 way split to
INCREASE the number of outstanding shares because they believed they didn't have sufficient liquidity.
The same posters who are worried about Encanto's current number of outstanding shares obviously aren\t aware that O/S shares are only important when you're trying to sell more to raise money from public market investors......Encanto for the last couple of years has raised money by PP which were mostly bought by insiders and friends. It seems to me, the buyers and amounts are determined before the PP is offered......so the number of O/S shares is irrelevant at this time.
There could not be a stronger signal that the project is proceeding well.....insider money!
Further, a 3 billion dollar project is bound to sell a lot of shares to raise that amount of money.
It seems that many posters can't grasp the fact that, once the project is producing revenue, the number of outstanding shares is easily adjusted.....with none of the negative repercussions that would occur if they did a consolidation before earning profits.
Are the posters here missing the fact that some very rich and powerful entities are directly involved in our little project and are investing a lot of their own money? Do you think they don't have competent financial advisers? I'm inclined to think that they know exactly what they're doing and if they're happy.....I am happy, happy, happy! They are doing a very big deal and I trust them.
For all of those who are constantly griping about PP, raising money and dilution.....what is your viable alternative? It's either raise money or die.....what part of that don't you get? If your arm is in a bear trap and you can't open it.....you cut off your own arm or you die.....you can deal with the consequences at a later date but for the moment.....you do what you have to do. Encanto management is in the same situation and nobody on this board has a viable alternative ot present.
If you truly believe you're better prepared to run the company than the current board, please put your name forward at the next AGM. If all you've got to offer is whining and complaining, maybe you should just have the guts to sell and move on to something that pleases you.
I don't care what the rest of you do......I'm going to exercise faith and patience because I trust our management (the important ones are still on the board) and I'm happy, happy, happy!
