Warrants work like options. If they are in the money at expiry you can exercise them and buy shares. Of course you would need to have the cash to complete the transaction. As you approach the expiry date the premium that the warrants trade at will diminish. It may be more profitable to just sell the warrants for more than you paid, depending on the situation.
