Huge volume, massive sell-off

What went wrong?  Two possibilities:

1) someone got wind of very bad news coming. But what could it be? 

2)  Tanking it on purpose so some whales can get a sweet position ie Kathy Wood.  

Anyone's guess in FONI land.  Prayers to all of the bag holders who listened to Stan :(
