It was decided that if we want to be left alone, we will have to pay this amount of 3.8 billion euros. Hence the desperation of those in the Government because they can no longer find this money. The president of SOS Romania mentioned that the whole situation at Roia Montan was created for the rare metals found there and not for gold.
"We are caught in the middle by some functional illiterates who have sold the country. We should not have to pay anything because the contractual conditions are not met, they are Romanian assets in the public domain and cannot be alienated. We should be compensated, but these things are done behind closed doors. How do you give Roia Montan without an auction? Most of Romania's properties were then given away, industry was destroyed. Shouldn't Adrian Nstase tell us what he was promised in this exchange? It is one thing for a person who has no legal training to do these things. He was a university professor, the court says it is serious that you should have seen these things. As prime minister, you cannot sign and appoint your ministers.
