26 meters of 11 gramsI think the GCQ market is probably being overshadowed by the recent departure of the president. I'm hearing he was actually poached by a major to run some of their operations. Regardless I think the market will recognize the value here once the company appoints a new president and starts to filter through whats going on here. 85 feet of nearly 1/2 ounce gold does not just fall from the sky and its not the kind of results you find very often these days. Most guys are reporting 1 and 2 grams and think they are doing well.
When you take a look at the guys who are coming on board at the same time as Alistairs departure, you can see that they have put a lot of thought into this. I'm sure they will find a suitable president soon enough. Considering you have the current president and CEO of Ventana Gold joining the board and then Bill Fisher comes on ...Bill was also Chairman of Aurelian Resources which was acquired by Kinross in 2008 for $1.2 Billion
This is starting to look like the proverbial who's who board. I doubt they are the kind of guys who would step into a board role with a junior unless they had a pretty decent level of confidence and the abilty to contribute
And lets not forget why any of them does this. Its for the money so they must think this has the potential to do something and these guys are doers.
I would assume the president does not have to give up the shares he owns other than his options when he departs so if the rumour of him being poached by a major is true then with the right people in place for GCQ he stands to do really well from both sides. Smart Move!
I think GCQ is looking like a bit of a sleeper. I'm watching for a new pres and more drilling. I think the next few months could be pretty exciting around here.
