GoldQuest Mining Corp. is a Canada-based mineral exploration and development company. The Company is engaged in the identification, acquisition and exploration of mineral properties. It is focused on gold and copper in the Dominican Republic. Its projects include Romero and Tireo. The Romero project includes its Romero and Romero South deposits, which are located within the La Escandalosa exploration concession of its Tireo Property, which has an area of approximately 3,997 hectares (ha). The Tireo project (also known as the San Juan concessions) is situated in the Central Cordillera of the Dominican Republic near the San Juan provincial capital of San Juan de La Maguan. Its other projects include Las Animas and Cerro Dorado. Its Las Animas project is situated approximately 100 kilometers (kms) north-west of the capital Santo Domingo. The Las Animas project comprises of over two claims. Its Cerro Dorado project is located in the Monsenor Noel province.

RE:RE:RE:RE:Big positive support by the Church yesterdayValid points made; however, I respectfully disagree that we haven't seen anything different in the last 6 years. 

We have a public apology for delays.
We have information and education campaigns by the administration.
We have local and religious support of projects.
We have a public statement by Abinader in support of the exploration specific to the company.
We have legal contacts on the ground meeting with the administration.

I would say that many things have changed; however, as will all junior mining investments there is always a risk which everyone must mitigate to their comfort level.

In my humble opinion this looks like they are paving the way for a permit. Regrettably, it is still slow as hell on their own timeline. 

Time will tell.

palfryville wrote: I share your concerns Valuecat although many in our echo chamber don't want to hear it.  We have spent many years reading between the lines of interviews and articles etc. and arrived at the entrance of the culdesac.  I have not yet recently seen anything different to what I have seen the last 6 years and the election cycle approaches.  Many put faith on the virtual PDAC coming up which is bunk in my view - we think there is values there and I doubt Luis does.  Someday this deposit will be allowed to study it's environmental impact of that I'm sure.  When I am not sure though and I try to be careful to not project my thoughts into assessing how a banana politician makes decisions...
