Mojave Inland Port 20 minute drive to Sage Ranch

Another stellar response from Hubbie87. Great point about inland port as a supplier of potential homebuyers but you can't forget the number one employer in Tehachapi never seems to get mentioned. The California Correctional Institute is designed for just under 2800 super max inmates but has a current population of 3200 (busting at the seams) plus over a 1000 employees.  This also doesn ...more

Shneps, you are right, no one considers the 1000 employees at the prison who also have to decide the best place to raise a family. So that makes 4000 employees from two places of work located a short distance from Sage Ranch who have to decide whether they will live in Bakersfield, Lancaster, Palmdale or Tehachapi, (or consider the commute). Feel free not to feed me anything, because it's like Jeffery Dahmer saying 'but I made you a ...more

Consider moving to Lancaster/Palmdale, located in LA county where the police will not respond to violence or theft unless a life is in imminent danger. No imminent danger? ... no police response!  I lived in SoCal for over 6 years, I've been to Palmdale/Lancaster and of course I visited Sage Ranch in Tehachapi, there is NO comparison. Google cannot give you the life experience of living ...more

Hubbie you are making quite the presumption that I've never been to these areas. Once again you are incorrect. Thanks Sven. No issues with presenting facts.

Nah, you've never been there.
