RE:RE:Philly Inquirer Confirms SEPTA NFI ContractKey point is that we're seeing the SEPTA contract extended at the very least, an upgrade on the contract is another matter but hopefully on the way too.
irrc, the current contract was over 3 years with two 1-year extensions. Not familiar with NFI's capabilities but I doubt they'll get those buses out instantly, probably over a year I assume? Imo, this pretty much alleviates the worry that GSI.V will lose SEPTA to a competitor. Market was basically pricing in that fear with the dip to the 40's
$5K per bus sounds more like the bear case. I'd expect much higher in 2021 terms and ALE.
Just recently we had that $225K Alaska contract just for one fleet, and I can't imagine any district in Alaska would have many buses in the first place
Earlier this year, we had this news release in Vancouver as well for $150K.
https://vancouverisland.ctvnews.ca/island-school-district-adds-cameras-to-bus-fleet-records-cars-that-pass-unloading-buses-1.5398209 No specific information on number of buses, but you can probably guess it's not a large amount either if they've "only" seen 22 incidents in 3 weeks. Estimates across NA for stop arm violations was close to 1 stop-arm violation per day back in 2019 before covid
