RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Something going on ??? OK,he's an entertaining fella and more bullish than most of us here (we know the current valuation is very compelling, esp. using PEG), he's recently looked at the company before making it an official pick today wanting it to hug closer to the 50 day moving average, here's some notes from his video;
1) can't agree with his earnings valuations (it's trading closer to 11.5X TTM EPS and not 15) and his EPS projections for 2024 and 2025 at .13 and .20 respectively seems very high (unless he knows how fast MDC's are being lit and or in combination with something else
2) we didn't know that Doug was going to LD Micro conference on April 8/9 (and he'll be meeting up with him)
https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20240116798617/en/LD-Micro-to-Host-Inaugural-New-York-Invitational-on-April-8-9-2024 3) LD Micro event will be broadcast and GSI will be presenting as they were invited (?)
4) his guest Big Chris brings up takeover speculation once companies reach critical mass, seems like he spoke to Doug as well
5) he will send out a published report for weekend reading and from how he talks about their due diligence he does speak to management, but I can't see Doug being that exhuberent on EPS projections
Given it's the highest US volume in a year and he was watching the share price react to his announcement that this is his offiicial pick, it appears that's why it's up in the US market for sure and it had an effect across the border here. I noted that CIBC had 75K on the ask with 10 minutes left in the market and it got taken out quickly. A larger offer at .80 was removed as the stock advanced in the last half hour.
Aside: ANON hit the bids with about 25K in the last minute of trading day and GSI still managed to have it's highest close in a year.
