Falling like crazy again. Markets waiting for election? I don't get it.

I would hope that the investors here have experience in the markets to handle volatility. If not, it would be a good time to start educating yourself. No need to post on multiple boards the full text of articles on the state of the markets, a link would do. Traders who have liquidated their positions would love another large collapse in market valuations to get back in.

Lastly we know which sectors would fare better than others. We believed GSI would even before their Covid angle. Companies would no debt and growing revenues like GSI will do fine. Having someone initially pump in $6.5 M at a premium should give you additional comfort. No need to give into fear.

True wealth is created by multi-baggers, esp. 10 baggers. You will never get one if you cannot stomach volatility, within the market or your individual picks. It takes a lot of conviction to get a 10 bagger. Patience is one advantage you can have over other investors. A good book to read is 100 Baggers.

EXACTLY!! Take a look at my v.TUO chart. Why didn't I sell in the mid $4's? Cuz I think it's going well past that price. (I'm in at $0.50) I'm hoping for the same with GSI and maybe v.BEER

You mentioned patince being a virtue. I forgot to say I started buying TUO in 2007. Went through a 1 for 5 consolidation. Kept on buying over the years. So, yeah, patience and having solid people running the company.

Congrats on Teuton. I used to own it back in the Murray Pezim, Eskay Creek days of closeology plays. The 13 year chart must look like a rollercoaster.

Ordered it. I'll let you know as soon as I sell my first 100 bagger. https://www.amazon.ca/100-Baggers-Stocks-100-1/dp/1621291650/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=100+Baggers%3A+Stocks+That+Return+100-To-1+and+How+to+Find+Them&qid=1604162739&sr=8-1

Having survived all the crashes / corrections since 1987 (a few months after I started "investing") I would not disagree that there are asset bubbles currently; ie. Canadian housing, mega cap tech stocks (FANG+), speculative COVID plays and health care stocks on the TSXV. You just have to be selective and not get caught into the hype. One can trim their current positions as needed.

Ranman, enjoy the book. At my age I need to stick to 10 baggers, I did have a 40 bagger once, but token amount of shares as I sold on way up.

Did you buy Bre-X also? The first individual stock I ever owned; I bought 1,000 shares at $4.50 then sold two weeks later at $6.50... Then watched it rise up to more than $250 a share. Unlike those who lost everything when the price collapsed, I made $2,000 in two weeks... LOL

One more thing, these are stock forums to discuss individual picks. Silicon Investor has threads to discuss markets in general. Those who have never had a ten bagger (maybe not even a home run) tend to be traders and not really investors.
