Hard to understand SP downward range

This is so confusing and frustrating.   Makews no sense why we keep going down.  Can anyone explain why the  SP is getting  Biotch slapped?

Look at the bloodbath in the entire tech sector. Personally, I'm still holding a full GSI.V position (thought it would be relatively safe given the 0% exposure to ETFs) but I liquidated all my other tech/semiconductor exposure to rotate into the value picks. I rotated that capital into oil equities myself that were still trading under book value despite crude oil being over $60/barrel. I' ...more

True to my word, picked up more @ .97, but I agree the market is currently shaken by bond yield foreboding.  So it's a gamble, but on a fine company.  Since oil stocks have been the black hole of my portfolio, it's hard to get up courage to go there beyond the underwater stuff I own now.

Not sure Mike. It's really small sales I just moved $100k back in and it was filled with 600 shares or less asks. Largest was 12900 shares on ask. Smaller retail panic?

NOBODY can predict short term price swings... this is a microcap! That means +200% some weeks, and -70% others! Tomorrow and yesterday don't matter, it is about years into the future. I am buying back in around between 0.60 and 0.75 because that is, ON PAPER, what looks good to the value investors out there and gives me enough margin or safety with what I know about the companies future ...more

I agree, I treat this like I'm holding options instead and I definitely sleep well at night even with the volatility. Maybe it's a silly and lame analogy, but I always think of the stock market like people who used to risk their fortunes on ship voyages for spice trades or whatever back then. Your fortune could go to literal zero with one bad voyage, and you'd have to be really careful ...more

I'd say that's pretty wildly exaggerated prognostication.  Not impossible IN THE TIC TOC TRADING ENVIRONMENT we have currently but that's not typical of the trading behaviour we see here.  Down 35%, anyone should be happy to get in at this price.

Respectfully, my thoughts on typical are that I see it happen at least several times a year, so it certainly is of no suprise to me, especially when were are talking about companies under $250mil. I am currently actively holding and buying 5 companies right now, Gatekeeper being one of them, and with exceptio to just one(the largest market cap company), this has happened to each of them several ...more

Well ol griz, maybe if we all sold tomorrow, -I mean every single investor, including Dyment and Sutherland there might be a slender chance that the share price would puncture the .60-.73 range but far more likely that Aaraman4 ends up a skeleton on his perch waiting for it to happen. It’s just too conventional, too safe and markets are anything but that. Some fingers point downwards, but mine ...more

I agree completely, I don;t see it hitting my levels, so I'll keep holding.... If I had no position, I would definitely be buying in right now, but I only buy on serious blowouts right now. Cheers!
