The wall @ $0.55 is growing

A smaller version (200K) has been sitting there for days. Placing sell orders considerably greater than the average daily volume makes just so much sense. LOL

Manipulation. More good news coming in the next few weeks, quarters so perhaps someone is trying to get shares from weak hands. If the share price advances does the wall get moved or changes?
Comment by ramman1 on Jan 05, 2024 1:16pm
Actually makes good sense when adjusting portfolios. That's if you own more than 10000 shares.  WINK , WINK.
Comment by ramman1 on Jan 05, 2024 1:31pm
Might make little sense to you , but then again,oh,I'll just leave it at that ,it's  (kidl2) I'm talking to .L.O.L-----   Anyway, if one were to sell 180000 GSI at .55 , to reduce to 750000, and increase at TMG up to 500000,that's called repositioning,my friend ,  not bailing out , but then again , you are ''NEWER''so you may not see the intent . ...more

ramman1 Enough of your thinly veiled TMG spam. I just reported it and I hope others will do the same.

Hard to say what the wall is placed for.... if it's for a potential swing trade... it is poorly priced imo. time will tell!

Timing my friend, timing . If the Q1 financials of company (A) coming  out fantastic , as expected  at the end of the month,Jan 24 ,  come out before   the next news expected of another venture, also end of Jan 24 company (B)  ,its going to be a huge swing . time will tell.--------In the meantime, lets talk GSI great numbers out here  at the end of the month ,now ...more

MBRocks Placing large upside walls doesn’t serve swing traders. If anything, it works against them as it tends to cap their short term upside. Walls like this are “Fata Morganas” purely put in place to encourage sales and discourage buys. It works well on loosely held spec plays but not so well on tightly held low volume value plays like GSI as the trading activity proves. PS: I actually doubt the ...more

Ya well,I'm o/k boy .What I do in investing ,   is just a challenge for me, nothing else , ,that's it ---- ,it's all good  young ''newer''.    --- WHO CARES, and why would you ??? ----Do you have 930000 GSI shares ???----I'll leave it at that .  -----  As poster RANMAN , and (wake up) and know the difference in posters , the other ...more

ramman1: While probably a mistake to even acknowledge your “mumbo jumbo” post, I thought I should at least address your misguided / misleading effort to portrait me as a newcomer to GSI. I have been following GSI since 2016 as evidenced by this SI post: https://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=30848352 I should also point out that I have been a SH member much longer than you. Reading the responses I'm amazed/frustrated it's now 7 yrs since that CBC reference. That's about the same time I bought into the story. GSI ... Potentially interesting in terms of exposure but hopefully not the typical 50/50 deal given the $110 ticket price. Traffic tickets seem to be the only cheap thing left in Ontario. BTW, rumour has it that the colour of Ontario traffic tickets ...more

That wall as of this morning is 180K and has moved up to .57 from .55 As I thought before given that it now moves,  manipulation to induce sellers and to dissuade buyers.

Yes:   I am fully topped up now . In good shape for 2024. ----Onto TMG
Comment by ramman1 on Jan 08, 2024 10:10am
Yes: Actually, I would not be selling at this point. I think it's  great buying time . Did not move much from year end report , and a great 2024 ahead for capital appreciation.---I can pretty well guarantee twith great confidense that the wall of 180000 shares, that was moving ,   is no longer active .
Comment by 1bananaman on Jan 08, 2024 10:35am
The only way one can "pretty well guarantee" something is if they put up the wall themselves. They need to own lots of shares and believe that at that price they can still buy them back, probably at a lower price, however the overall SP makes the trade positive. My small 40000 shares ain't enough but someone who had say 900000 might conside the idea! GLTA LONGS!

The whole premise doesn't really make sense given that breaking a large wall removes major technical resistance and shows that buyers have come in. Would the share price fall back given that Q1 is out in a few weeks and could be the start of some continued momemtum in rev growth where all quarters will be profitable....

It is interesting to watch the game being played in real time. That wall has gone... or they're waiting for something before resubmitting.
Comment by kidl2 on Jan 09, 2024 11:36am
The wall comes and goes as it gets reconfigured from time to time. Given its size relative to the average daily trading volume, it is very likely meant to shake out some shares in the low 50’s which I personally see as a positive signal. These games will likely persist until Q1 results are released.   V:GSI Depth by Price @11:17:17   Bid ...more

Does anyone recall seeing this type of "wall" in 2023?
Comment by davewho on Jan 09, 2024 12:41pm
not surprising if someone is trying to pickup shares now. Q1 due out this month and should be good. Q2 ends 28Feb and due out in Apr also should he good. Looks to be decent size bids at 50 and 48 by someone.
