I would imagine even Warren Buffet has been(and still is) in that underwater position many times. So that part of your argument is weak.. As for the reference by posters citing the Musk and Northvolt involvement, this has been and is still highly speculative, but again, very possible if nickel grades prove to be commercially viable. That scenario will definitly be a driver of the stock in the future. As to the initial "paltry" investment by Altius, this may well have been the decision of management so as not to over dilute. Keep in mind as well, that these funds, although small, are all non-brokered. A wise decision in my opinion. Remember too, Altius did sign a royalty agreement invoving a much higher dollar figure. Finally, I see that the early L2 indicates a lower opening which should come as no surprise. But again this is very early. As always, what I post is only my opinion.
