RE: A Question

RE: A Question

Very feasible up until you hit 10%.  From my knowledge he is below 10% (8.6%).  His goal is not necesarily to accumulate, it's to accumulate and drive down.

Judging by the action of CBJ today, I do believe Beaty is acting through BMO and Anon.  My conclusions come from about 6 months of following the trends in that stock and seeing some very odd trades from BMO.  Take today for example....BMO flew in and sold about 30,000 shares at market to drive the price down from $1.08 to 1.04 with the same time stamp.

Contrary to popular belief, Big players like Beaty and Batista do not take significant positions in mining companies to simply participate in price appreciation like the rest of us do.  My own belief is that their goal is to then use those shares to ensure they get the company for what is an acceptable offer for them.  Take for example when CBJ had their huge discovery hole almost exactly a year ago.  Beaty then takes a 10% stake via a private placement.  If he were to try and snag the whole company at that point then he would have paid much much much more than he would if he were trying to do it today.  Also keep in mind that CBJ is further along now and he has a better idea of is actually there.

At the end of it I would say Batista and Beaty will come to some sort of an agreement to take CBJ and Galway's Vetas.  These two are too smart and too connected to get into a bidding war together.
